Mitas enters tractor-pulling with Powerpull tire on display at Farm Progress
Prague/Charles City, August 13, 2014 – For the first time in the United States, Mitas will reveal its Powerpull 30.5L-32 tire for tractor-pulling at Farm Progress. Mitas Powerpull will be tested by select tractor-pulling teams in fall 2014 and will be available for the 2015 season. Visitors can see the Powerpull 30.5L-32 tire on display at the Mitas booth, 16S. To show its strong commitment to tractor-pulling Mitas will sponsor the pulling event Protect the Harvest Nationals that occurs during the Farm Progress.
“Europe-based tractor-pulling team, Mitas All Or Nothing, will be testing the tire starting in September. We will then have first hand feedback on Mitas Powerpull's performance,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ marketing and sales director. “We aim to introduce this special tractor-pulling tire so it will be available for racing teams worldwide for the 2015 season.”
Mitas Powerpull will be produced without a tread pattern as a slick tire
The construction of Mitas Powerpull 30.5L-32 is bias, and the manufacturing is based on a process similar to that for Mitas’ high-horsepower tractor tires. This will guarantee endurance and durability. Mitas Powerpull will be produced without a tread pattern as a slick tire so that customers and racing teams can cut their own unique treads. The first prototypes of the new tractor-pulling tire were cured and tested at Mitas' European factory in Otrokovice, Czech Republic.
“We've registered massive interest in the Powerpull tire among tractor-pulling teams in Europe and the U.S. By showing it at Farm Progress, we would like to demonstrate our commitment to the successful development of Mitas Powerpull,” said Pavel Kott, Mitas´ agricultural tires product manager.
Mitas actively supports tractor-pulling events. Mitas sponsored its first National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) pulling event in Greentown, Indiana, on August 7, 2014. Recently Mitas signed agreement to sponsor Missouri State Fair, Protect The Harvest Nationals, Taylor County Fairgrounds and Putnam County Fairgrounds. These events are part of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League. In Europe Mitas is the official partner of the European Tractor Pulling Committee (ETPC), supporting all Eurocup pulls.
