U.S. senator visits Charles City
Charles City (IA) - In January, the Mitas plant in Charles City was honored by a visit by Chuck Grassley, the senior U.S. senator from the state of Iowa.
“We feel honored that Mr. Grassley started his regular visits to Iowa right at the Mitas plant in Charles City. It shows we are an important employer and manufacturer who stretches beyond the borders of Iowa,” said Pavel Charvát, the president of Mitas Tires North America. Grassley’s visit was very informal. The senator met with all of the employees and listened to their problems, plans and prospects. He also visited the production hall and learned about the process of tire manufacturing. Grassley is the longest-serving senator in the United States. He began his service three decades ago in 1981.
