Mitas Launches TERRAGUARD, the next level of VF implements radial tires

- Mitas introduces TERRAGUARD, the new VF (Very High Flexion) implement tire range engineered to carry higher loads at lower pressure, improving productivity and protecting soil structure, supporting the needs of modern farming.
Mitas has officially unveiled TERRAGUARD, its new generation of VF implement radial tires, marking the global debut of the range at the Commodity Classic, taking place February 25- 27 in San Antonio, Texas, Booth 1271.
Designed to address the evolving challenges of modern agriculture, including larger and heavier implements, higher efficiency expectations and increasing focus on soil impact, TERRAGUARD further strengthens the Mitas portfolio with a solution developed for demanding, higher capacity implements.
Engineered to carry high loads while operating at lower inflation pressures, TERRAGUARD adapts effectively to ground contours, ensuring stable behavior, a consistent footprint and reliable performance across uneven terrain, both during field operations and road transport.
Its square shoulder design further maximizes the footprint and contributes to excellent stability, while the reinforced sidewall construction enhances lateral stability, particularly during road transportation.
Efficiency is a core element of the TERRAGUARD design. Its optimized VF radial construction and tread geometry help reduce rolling resistance, enabling smoother operations and improved energy efficiency. At the same time, the tire’s ability to distribute weight more evenly across a larger contact area reduces soil compaction, helping protect soil structure and support higher operational productivity over long working days.
A distinctive sawtoothtread pattern further enhances performance by balancing rolling efficiency with controlled traction, stability, reduced vibration and reliability across a wide range of cultivation tasks and operating conditions.
“Modern agricultural operations require implement tires that do more than simply carry weight,” said Roberta D’Agnano, Marketing Director MItas at Yokohama TWS. “With TERRAGUARD, we combine advanced VF technology with a new tread design that supports efficient operation and helps manage soil impact, contributing to performance in demanding applications. Presenting this product for the first time at Commodity Classic is especially meaningful for us, as the U.S. market is at the forefront of large-scale, high-load farming applications. TERRAGUARD has been developed to meet the specific demands of American farmers, making this event the ideal platform for its global debut.”
Mitas TERRAGUARD integrates load capacity and operational efficiency into a single implement-tire solution. The range is initially available in sizes VF 280/70R15 TL IMP 140D and VF 295/75R22.5 TL IMP 158D, with additional sizes planned for future release.
The product is now on display at the Mitas stand 1271, where visitors can see TERRAGUARD up close throughout the event.
